On July 16, 2026, the DOE published an updated rule on Conflict of Interest and Conflict of Commitment Policy Requirements in regard to Financial Assistance Regulations, effective August 17, 2026. Yale is working to understand the new rule and develop updated guidance for the research community. More information will be shared as soon as it becomes available.

When preparing applications for DOE proposals, please contact Yale’s Conflict of Interest Office as early as possible so we can assist you with DOE conflict-of-interest requirements (conflicts@yale.edu; 203-737-5954).

Because DOE COI requirements also apply to organizations participating as subrecipients, please also consult early with your Department Business Administrator or your Office of Sponsored Projects Proposal Manager if your proposal will include subrecipient organizations.
