Request for Letter of Support to use an sIRB must be submitted to the HRPP Office using a Qualtrics Questionnaire. Please, allow 2 to 3 business days to receive a response. The Office of Sponsored Projects will verify that the HRPP letter is attached to the grant application.
You may also be asked to provide a letter of support if you are a site PI and another institution serves as the primary awardee.
While letters of support from the participating sites are not required, the PI must ensure that the sites’ HRPP/IRB Offices agree to use the proposed sIRB. After the HRPP receives your request for a letter of support, you will be provided with a template to document the agreement of the identified participating sites. Work with the local site PIs to obtain the appropriate signature from their Human Research Protection Programs. Keep the signed forms for your records.
