Supporting Collaborative Research

The Office of Sponsored Projects supports faculty and staff throughout the entire lifecycle of the award, from application to non-financial closeout. For information on financial closeout, visit the SPFA webpages.

Award Lifecycle

  • Proposals

    Yale University requires that all sponsored project proposals be reviewed and approved by the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP).

  • Award Management

    Learn more about award review, negotiation and acceptance, institutional and sponsor prior approval requirements, and award modifications.

  • Clinical Trials

    The Clinical Agreements Team is authorized to negotiate and execute non-federal clinical trial agreements (CTAs) on behalf of Yale University, as the University Policy 1104.

  • Contracts

    Contracts handles reviews, negotiates, and executes agreements with partners, government, institutions, and complex non-profit/governmental contracts.

  • Subaward Monitoring and Management

    Subaward Management negotiates, executes, and monitors outgoing subawards (federal/non-federal) under OSP-managed grants/contracts.

  • Financial Management

    SPFA manages post-award administration, ensuring financial compliance and accounting for sponsored funds, working with departments and faculty.
